After a successful kick-off at Stroud, the next stops for the youth-led touring Great Big Climate Circus are:

Saturday, July 11, 1pm-6pm at the War Memorial Recreation Ground, Dursley

Saturday, July 18, 1pm-6pm at The Venture Community Hub (White City), Gloucester.

Free entry and free activities thanks to the National Lottery including:

• Interactive fun for all ages including juggling, spinning plates, unicycle, giant bubbles, pedal-powered spin art and pedal-powered sound system with Rinky Dink.

 

• Bike maintenance, and interactive stalls run by Creative Sustainability, Ernest Cook Trust, Cotswolds National Landscape, Heavens Valley, sustainable creative crafting and sock shop with Can’t Sit Still, and Forest Green Rovers Community as well as youth-led clothes swaps

 

• Entertainment co-created by young people from Gloucestershire including live music, dance, theatre and circus skills from School of Larks, youth rock band Asphodel, Hip Hop, Rap, Poetry from Hip Hop Garden, Your Next Move, and The Music Works, as well as Chaka, Berty Sounds and Arfa J.

 

• Talks and short films, including photographs, projections and films made by young people reflecting their concerns and hopes for the future.
