What better way to explore other cultures than through play...

World Jungle's award winning Global Play activities bring together some of the best traditional games from around the world, which have been tried and tested over generations. They are delivered by artists and playworkers from Ghana, Jamaica, Tanzania, Guyana, Argentina, Pakistan and England.

World Jungle Global Play Toolkit
  • A comprehensive resource book and DVD containing ideas, guidance and information to support global play activities for children in a variety of settings. Excellent for teachers, play and youth workers.
  • Contains games from around the world, background information on countries and a DVD highlighting songs, rhythms and how to play games, as well as interviews with our Global Play Team.
  • Written and published by World Jungle 2010.
  • Cost: £40 (plus £2.50 postage/packing)

Staff Training

The project has delivered global play sessions with children in parks, schools and play settings as well as providing training to playworkers, youth workers, teachers and early years workers. We have delivered training and workshops to Barnardos, Devon County Council, Gloucestershire Youth Services, Somerset Play Partnership, Big Lottery Fund partners and South West Play.

Global Play workshops for children
  • Playful, informative, involving music, dance and games.
  • Supported by the World Jungle Global Play Toolkit, with CD of songs so you can play the games afterwards.
  • Training for staff, teachers, playworkers etc.
  • Sessions can be anything from one hour, half a day, full day or over a week.
